Capanna Nera Run Corvara Alta Badia | Blue Slope #8 POV

Suggested that this is a great slope to get warmed up on if you are staying in Corvara.

To reach the Capanna Nera run (Slope No. 8) in Corvara, you take the Capanna Nera ski lift (Lift No. 13).

The Capanna Nera run is a very gentle, sunny blue slope specifically known for its Speedcheck course where your speed is timed and recorded.

How to get there from Corvara
Depending on where you are starting, there are two main ways to reach this specific lift:

Option 1 (Directly from the village): Take the Costes da l’Ega chairlift (No. 29) which starts near the Boè and Borest gondolas in the center of Corvara. At the top of this chairlift, you will find the base of the Capanna Nera drag lift.

Option 2 (From the Pralongiá Plateau): If you are already skiing the blue runs higher up near Pralongiá or Arlara, you can simply follow the signs for Slope No. 8 (which leads toward the Capanna Nera hut). This run eventually funnels you down to the Capanna Nera lift and the Costes da l’Ega area.

Quick Facts for Beginners
Lift Type: It is a drag lift (T-bar/button lift), not a chairlift. It is quite long but very flat and easy to use.

The Slope: Slope No. 8 is wide, safe, and has a minimal incline, making it perfect for children and those still building confidence.

The Hut: The Capanna Nera hut (the “Black Hut”) sits right on this slope and is a famous spot for a sunny lunch or après-ski.
